Physical Therapy at Brooks Memorial Hospital
Brooks Memorial Hospital’s Physical Therapy Department provides both outpatient and inpatient physical therapy services, including the evaluation and treatment of various diagnoses pertaining to Physical Therapy. Physical Therapy is a profession dealing with the treatment or prevention of disability, injury, disease or other conditions using physical, chemical or mechanical means. The Physical Therapists at Brooks are key members of the healthcare team. They are trained and licensed professionals whose goal is to alleviate pain and improve movement and function.
Staff at the Brooks PT department includes four Physical Therapists, two Physical Therapy Assistants, three Aides and Clerical support. All of the Brooks Therapists are trained in Vestibular/Balance Rehabilitation and Biodex Training/Testing. Additional staff training includes Reiki (Levels I & II).
To better serve the community, the Physical Therapy Department at Brooks Memorial Hospital offers extended hours and is now open until 5 pm Monday thru Thursday for Outpatient services. Inpatient therapy is also provided daily and on Saturday mornings.

All patients seeking Physical Therapy at Brooks Memorial Hospital must have a script from a licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, nurse practitioner, or midwife before being seen. Upon referral, the Physical Therapist will perform and evaluation and formulate an individual treatment plan based upon that evaluation. Most insurances are accepted.
