Behavioral Health Services at Lake Shore Health Care Center

Lake Shore Health Care Center’s Adult Behavioral Health Unit (ABHU) is a 20-bed, secure area, designed to provide high quality medical care for patients' psychiatric diagnoses including psychosis, anxiety, and depression.

To qualify for our inpatient psychiatric services, a person must be 18 years of age or older and have a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Each potential admission is evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure that the needs of the patient can safely be met while being treated at our program.

ABHU patients will receive psychiatric and medical assessments, diagnostic testing, physical and occupational therapy, group and individual therapy, around the clock nursing and medical support, basic life skills enrichment, nutritional consultation, social work care management services, and recreational therapy.

  • Individual, Group, and Family Therapy
  • Patient and Family Education
  • Discharge and Aftercare Planning
